Overview
You may need STC to help you with your product design and development for several reasons such as:

    • You are dealing with a product or project that needs complex analysis outside your normal technical abilities.
    • Your staff is working to their productive capacity and you can not afford to add a full time engineer to your group.
    • Your products are usually used in situations where fatigue, impact, vibration, or environment damage them.
    • You want to assure that the best and least expensive material has been used in the parts designed by you.
    • Your system has experienced part/parts failure and you need a failure analysis and final solutions that would assure the minimum and if possible no change in the design and manufacturing techniques.

          I.  MATERIALS

MATERIALS SELECTION

  • Selection of materials for any application based on the state of the art analysis and computer database. More details are given in the following link:

Systematic Approach to Materials Selection for Safe Design

STRESS ANALYSIS

Fracture mechanics approach combined with finite elements analysis is applied to design parts to perform failure analysis on metallic as well as plastics and adhesives.

ADHESIVE SELECTION AND BONDING

  • Selection of proper adhesive systems for various substrates, applications, and environments.

  • Development of the most effective and cost saving bonding method for industrial applica-tions.

II. Mechanical Design and Analysis

DESIGN & ANALYSIS

The folloing analysis will be performed on various products ranging from small electronics components to large industrial machinery, structures, and other load bearing products using finite element analysis.

  • Design of machine elements and structures under static, dynamic and time dependent loading.

  • Analytical and finite element vibration analysis.

  • Analytical and finite element shock and impact analysis.

  • Analytical and finite element thermal analysis.

  • Analytical and finite element fatigue analysis.
